Sunday Drive oil on illustration board with airbrush. This was used in a national ad for a space advocacy group which was published in Asimov's SF Magazine and the Magazine of Science Fiction and Fantasy. My model resources are a friend I worked with at the planetarium (the assistant director) and his family wearing ski suits that I turned into spacesuits. It shows a family enjoying the view of their home, a crater colony on Mars.

this is a great work. it has a real retro-futuristic(?) space age feel about it. ^^
